About Us

Our Mission

The Southern California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists exists to exalt Christ by serving its diverse communities through networked and creatively engaged churches and schools.

Our Core Values

Integrity With Transparency • We value and recognize the transforming power of God's word in our lives as we pursue wholeness in our character. We will not be bought or sold, because we are sold out for Christ.

Engagement • We will do anything short of sin to reach people who don't know Christ. To reach people no one is reaching, we will have to be fully engaged, doing things no one is doing.

Stewardship • We are spiritual contributors not spiritual consumers. The church does not exist just for us; we exist for the world. We will give and manage our resources with excellence for this mission.

Unity in Diversity • We recognize that the local church is the hope of the world, and we are confident we can accomplish infinitely more together than apart.

Relationships & Team • We value relationships and are unapologetic in our love. We are committed to honoring each other's gifts, talents, and strengths united together to accomplish Christ's mission.

About Seventh-day Adventists

Seventh-day Adventist churches in the Greater Los Angeles area are part of a global sisterhood of almost 80,000 (2014) Christian Protestant churches. More than 19 million baptized Adventist members live in 215 countries of the world; more than 1.2 million members live in North America. Worldwide, the church operates 7,792 schools and 175 hospitals.

The distinctive Seventh-day Adventist message may be summarized as "the everlasting gospel," the basic Christian message of salvation through faith in Christ, in the special setting of the threefold message of Revelation 14:6-12, the call to worship the Creator, "for the hour of His judgment is come."

Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as their only creed and hold certain fundamental beliefs to be the teaching of the Holy Scriptures. These beliefs constitute the church's understanding and expression of the teaching of Scripture. Click here to learn more about Adventists.
